John A. Gill

A career security executive with proven success in both the public and private sectors, John A. Gill has held senior positions in the White House, the United States Secret Service, and private sector security, business development, and consulting. A dynamic and decisive leader, he is a recognized security authority, with global expertise in the areas of executive protection, protective intelligence, risk management, workplace violence, crisis management, and business continuity.
John was previously the Global Director of Security for HHS, LLC where he was responsible for the oversight and direction of threat management programs, executive protection, technical security, and business continuity for a high net worth family and business. John is also CEO of Chandler Strategies, LLC, a full-service security consultancy, providing expert advice and guidance and driving strategic solutions in all areas of public and private security management.
From 2009 to 2017, John worked as an executive in the area of private sector security business development and consulting, where he applied his three decades of experience in domestic and international security to the advancement of data driven security software solutions. From 2007 to 2009, John was the Chief Security Officer at the White House, where he developed, managed, and implemented the security policies and programs supporting the White House complex and the multiple entities of the Executive Office of the President.
In 2007, John retired from the United States Secret Service after 25 years of service, which included multiple assignments in the executive protection, investigative, and protective intelligence missions of the agency. Appointments included Special Agent in Charge of the office of Government and Public Affairs and Attaché of the Paris Field office, where he was responsible for oversight of the largest Secret Service district overseas.
John holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts and a Masters in Homeland Security Studies from the American Military University.
